Course description: this course widens your horizon and it teaches how to sail in open waters
This open-water course is taught aboard an Archambault 40, and it is meant for those interested in sailing in open waters. The goal of this course is to teach how to sail in safety on long routes and live all aspects of a boat 24/7.
Topics: how to plan a sea crossing, navigation by night, dead reckoning and navigationg with instruments
, meteorology, how to manage a galley, safety while sailing,use and mantainance of engine, equipment and plants aboard (mapping system, battery charger), radio communication
Rate includes: sailing course with theory and practical lessons; lodging on board
Rate does not include: food-shopping, gas and port expenses; each shift participants create a kitty for all expenses
