Porto Pollo is located on the northern coast of Sardinia, facing the Maddalena Archipelago and the windy Straits of Bonifacio.

Porto Pollo in Palau is a renowned location for enthusiasts of wind powered water sports. Unspoiled environment, golden beaches, incredible see-thru water and constant wind are the main features of this special site. Here Orza Scuola Vela organizes residential sailing courses for adults and sailing camps for under 18s and from here you can set sail for itinerant courses.

Our base is within an apartment complex few kilometers from Palau. The building has everything you need: a kitchen and training room, an office for meeting with an internet point, wi-fi, storage room, terrace, and garden, dormitory style bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Just a quick walk in the Mediterranean scrub and you reach the beach: here our dinghies sail on the protected waters of the gulf and our cabin cruisers set sail to reach the close-by islands within the Maddalena Archipelago National Park and southern Corsica. 

Our sailing camp is completely environmental-friendly: 9 kw photo-voltaic equipment (36 cells), heating solar system, heating insulation, insulated doors and windows with double glass and pump heating system.

Fleet available to rent

35 sailboats are available for rental, flotilla cruises or day trips to the islands. You can chose from the safest to the fastest dinghy, or up to 10 meter cabin cruiser that can be sailed without license.

How to get to Porto Pollo

Our Porto Pollo camp is 5 km away from Palau and 45 km from Olbia. Palau is well connected with buses to the Olbia airport and ferry port. Every Friday and Saturday we organize free transfer to and from Palau.
